SITTING IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD

As we begin preparing first for Thanksgiving and then for Christmas, many of us find ourselves yearning for more peace and quiet in our lives—and especially for more time to be holy, for more time with God. Centering prayer offers the perfect solution, an hour just to bask in the presence of God and quietly listen to that small quiet voice full of assurance and grace.

If this appeals to you, then we invite you to join us on Tuesdays, either at 7 am in the Parish Hall or at 6 pm in the church. We spend time together each week on a short reflection or devotion, followed by 20 minutes of contemplative prayer, and finally we conclude with discussion about our day’s reflection and our practice of prayer. This is a truly serene and sacred hour. Once you begin coming, you won’t want to give it up.
