Old Donation Episcopal Church

Seeing Old Donation Church

We have a beautiful church with beautiful grounds. Our historic church building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is annually featured on the Bayside History Trail. Many visitors express disbelief that we could be so close to the busy Independence Boulevard and yet seem like you are in an isolated park. "Oasis" is the term most often used to describe the place. In recent years we have won several civic awards for the beauty of our grounds, thanks to a large team of parishioners who work many hours every week (led by Harold VanderWilt, the warden for the grounds).

But as much as the grounds are building are beautiful, even more beautiful is our parish family. We have a wonderful sense of community and a faithful sense of commitment to do God's work in the world. When people are out doing God's mission, there is light and joy that shines brightly.

We keep current photos of activities and of our church available. At any one time we may have pictures on the site of a family picnic and Holy Communion service on the beach or Vacation Bible School or a group of us serving a meal at the homeless shelter or our annual Oyster Roast festival or special worship services or simply pictures of our parish enjoying life together. Some of the sets of pictures will simply walk you around our award-winning grounds.
